Covid-19 city mandate
effective January 3, 2022
What is the new vaccine mandate?
Beginning January 3, 2022, Philadelphia establishments that sell food or drink for consumption onsite, including casinos, must require that everyone who enters the facility has completed their COVID vaccinations, meaning that they have received two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. If guests have a medical or religious exception, they must present paperwork documenting the exemption.
Up to January 17, guests may present a negative PCR test 24 hours preceding entry as an alternative to proof of vaccination to enter facility.Acceptable documents to show proof of vaccination:
- An original, digital photography, or photocopy of CDC Vaccination Card (both sides)
- An official vaccine record issued by another state, a foreign nation, or the WHO
We appreciate your cooperation.
Will proof of vaccine be required to play on the casino floor?Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia must act in compliance with the new Covid-19 vaccine mandate announced by the City of Philadelphia; therefore, we will require that all guests show proof of vaccination status beginning January 3, 2022, or documentation of an exemption, or attest in writing that they have been vaccinated.
How will Live! be checking vaccination status?Live! will be checking vaccination status of all patrons entering an area of the property where Food & Beverage is served, which means patrons will have to show their vaccination card, or an electronic copy of it and a form of government ID at each entrance to the casino floor, and at The Prime Rib.
What if I’m just checking into the Live! Hotel?Proof of vaccination is not required to check into the Live! Hotel; however, guests will not be able to enjoy any other part of the facility – i.e. casino, restaurants - without showing proof.
Do I still have to wear a mask?Due to the recent spike in Covid-related cases in our region, we will require all guests to mask (even if fully vaccinated). It is our intent to lift this policy once numbers subside. Legally approved exemptions will be required to double mask. Live! reserves the right to make adjustments to the mask policy.
I’ve been vaccinated, but I didn’t get the booster yet. Can I still come in?Yes. At this time, the vaccine mandate does not stipulate any restrictions related to receiving the booster shot.
What if I have a medical condition or religious exemption that prevents me from getting the vaccine? Can I still come in?Yes. Guests must still present a negative PCR test 24 hours preceding entry and valid proof of religious or medical exemptions.
