PHILADELPHIA (December 21, 2020) Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia today announced that The Prime Rib® will join the restaurant lineup at the new gaming and entertainment destination when it opens early next year. A top Zagat-rated steakhouse previously located in Center City Philadelphia for more than 20 years, The Prime Rib now has a luxurious new home at Live! Casino & Hotel with the same commitment to fine dining and exceptional service with an award-winning menu offering a tantalizing array of prime steaks cooked to perfection, the freshest seafood and a selection of signature salads, sides and desserts. In addition, some distinctive new twists will marry the best in high-end cuisine with a stylized bar and lounge scene.
The return to Philadelphia marks an exciting new era for the family-owned restaurant, which has consistently been a #1 Zagat-rated restaurant in Washington DC and Baltimore, including at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in the Baltimore Washington corridor.

Adjacent to the main casino floor near the entrance of the hotel lobby, the space will show off comfortable elegance in a modern, refined setting with details of glass, wood, marble and leather. Elegant drapery will create unique seating moments while antiqued, smoked mirrors and brass elements elevate the style. A long, stylized bar off of the casino floor will converge with the main dining room and two private dining rooms. Guests will also find a cocktail bar tucked away from the main dining area off of the hotel lobby for a more intimate setting.
The stylish design will set the stage for an incredible dining experience led by Head Chef Theodore Iwachiw. Prior to joining the Live! team, Chef Iwachiw served as Regional Executive Chef at Davios Northern Italian Steakhouse in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. He also helped open two restaurants at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, as well as opening Loews New Orleans as Executive Chef and Loews Philadelphia as Executive Sous Chef.
Under Chef Iwachiw’s leadership, the menu will feature classic selections, such as the signature prime rib, prime cuts of filet mignon, ribeye, porterhouse and NY strip, veal chops, and lamb; as well as jumbo lump crab cakes, chilean sea bass, ahi tuna, salmon and other seafood specialties on a mouthwatering menu sure to surpass any expectations.

The Prime Rib at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia will be run by the world-class team of General Manager Jason Simkins, Head of Operations Natalie DiBattista and Lounge Director Brian Taylor, bringing together decades of experience in the dining and hospitality industry.
Simkins is a local restaurant industry veteran who brings more than 11 years of fine dining managerial experience to The Prime Rib. He recently served as general manager of Scarpetta in The Rittenhouse Hotel, as well as general manager for flagship Starr Restaurant Group properties in the Philadelphia region. DiBattista joins the team with more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, include stints as a General Manager for the Starr Restaurant Group and Director of Operations for the Schulson Collective Group. Taylor brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles as a Partner at the Gardendale Social & Athletic Club and as General Manager at 1925 Lounge, both in Philadelphia. The Prime Rib joins previously announced local favorites Lorenzo and Sons Pizza, Sang Kee Noodle Bar & Kitchen and Termini Brothers Bakery, as well as signature venues by Emmy-award winning chef, restaurateur, New York Times Best Selling author and TV personality Guy Fieri.
