The Cordish Companies Live Casino & Hotel Philadelphia Donate More Than $80,000 To Local Youth Athletic Associations
The Cordish Companies and Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia today announced the Delaware Valley Youth Athletic Association (DYVAA) and Southeast Youth Athletic Association (SEYAA) will receive more than $80,000 in grants from a Community Charitable Fund established to enhance the neighborhoods surrounding the new South Philadelphia project.
The Community Charitable Fund is part of a larger Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) that underscores Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia’s long-term commitment to creating collaborative partnerships with neighboring residents and civic organizations through grants that improve the quality of life in the community, employment opportunities for residents and vendor contract opportunities for local-owned businesses.
DYVAA will receive $39,720 to install an irrigation system and new fencing on multiple athletic fields. SEYAA will receive $43,416.50 to replace all electrical wiring and electrical panel boards to support the installation of LED lights at each of its nine athletic fields. The grants are part of a larger $350,000 initial Community Charitable Fund commitment prior to the opening of Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia. Additional annual financial commitments will be announced in early 2021 upon the Casino’s grand opening.
