Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia today announced the appointment of Kelley Maddox as Vice President of Sales. In this new role, Maddox will lead the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing initiatives for the 208-room luxury Live! Hotel and new Event Center, which is now accepting bookings for meetings and private events.

The Event Center at Live! Philadelphia offers groups more than 15,000-square-feet of customizable event space, including a large ballroom, two breakout rooms, expansive pre-function space and three executive boardrooms. Spaces are equipped with a seating capacity of 1,000, a performance stage, as well as high-tech A/V systems throughout. As Vice President of Sales, Maddox is responsible for the planning and day-to-day operations of the sales department, leading an unparalleled team of experts with decades of sales experience in the Philadelphia region. She will also work closely with the food and beverage team to advise on event execution and strategy, rounding out the property’s world-class team of catering and event professionals.

Maddox has extensive events and catering sales experience and has been working in the Philadelphia market for over sixteen years. Before joining the Live! team, Maddox most recently held the position of Director of Sales, Business Development & Marketing at Brulee Catering. There, she was responsible for all strategic sales programs and led new business development projects and client retention efforts.

Prior, Maddox led her own consulting firm, KJD Consulting, working with a range of clients in the Philadelphia region, including Peachtree & Ward Catering, Xfinity Live!, Sugarhouse Casino and Chescaphe Event Group.

A former team member of The Cordish Companies, which owns and operates Live! Philadelphia, Maddox was responsible for setting strategy, increasing business and training the inaugural sales team at sister property Xfinity Live!. While there, she coordinated and oversaw logistics for the Democratic National Convention held at the venue in 2016.

Maddox has also worked with the best of Philadelphia’s food and beverage industry, previously serving as Senior Director of Development & Marketing at Starr Catering Restaurant Group, Director of Catering at DiBruno Bros. and General Manager at Brulee Catering. She started her career at Max & Me Catering at the National Constitution Center.

Maddox holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and currently resides in Lafayette Hill, PA. She is a member of several respected industry organizations including Meeting Planner International, National Association of Catering Executives, International Live Events Associations, Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau.
